The views of the bay are stunning and the location is perfect for walking to nearby attractions. I was disappointed with the noise levels at night, as well as issues with dusty and outdated decor. Bicycle rentals are available to explore the area, which is a nice touch.

Great location!
It wasn’t cheap, but worth it for the service.

The hotel offers stunning views of the bay and is conveniently located just steps away from several main attractions, including the Maritime Museum, Little Italy, and eateries like the Brigantine, which made my work dinner exceptionally easy to access across the street, along with many other delightful dining options nearby; I thoroughly enjoyed strolling to the Gaslamp Quarter and exploring the waterfront paths. While the room was clean and comfortable with a nice bed, I did find the additional charges upon check-out a bit surprising.

The king-size bed was excellent, providing great comfort. I appreciated the spacious layout of the room, though it had a tired appearance with noticeable cracks and stains. Temperature control was adequate, maintaining a pleasant environment. Noise levels were an issue; sounds from neighbors and the elevator on the 14th floor were disruptive. The bathroom, while functional, had a sink faucet that barely reached the bowl and a missing knob on the shower door. Internet access problems were unresolved despite reporting. The room was clean, but lacked some attention to detail.

Beautiful views of the bay from many rooms. Parking fees are pretty steep at $42 a day. Renting bikes nearby was convenient for exploring. The restaurant food quality is average and could be better.

Decent location, staff eager to help. The Starbucks cart in the lobby is a nice touch. The balcony offered relaxing views, a highlight of the stay. the carpet needs immediate replacement; it detracts significantly from the experience. Rooms were spacious but felt outdated. The bed and pillows were genuinely comfortable, and the bathroom, while large, suffered from a cramped vanity. Front desk service was inconsistent, especially during peak airline crew check-ins. A lack of housekeeping was disappointing—waiting times for essentials became annoying. Dining options fell short; the Claim Jumper didn’t meet expectations. Clear improvements needed, yet certain staff members showed commendable support. This property has potential but needs focused renovations.

We checked into a room that smelled off and was filthy, not at all like the photos online. The staff was unhelpful and we found ourselves stuck in a noisy, uncomfortable space. It was a major letdown.

Fantastic location, fantastic amenities with a stunning bay view room and a relaxing balcony where I enjoyed every sunrise and sunset during my stay.
Nothing all excellent.

The location was spot on, super close to the harbor and Little Italy! The bed was ridiculously comfortable, making it hard to get out in the mornings. And let’s talk about that view—it took my breath away every single day!
can just recommend 🥰✨

We checked out the Convention Center and hit up Gaslamp Quarter – epic vibes all around. The hotel's spot was primo, near the cruise ship terminal with killer bay views. We strolled everywhere, feeling like straight-up ballers.
We needed a better spot to keep the party rolling after the nightclubs closed – a rad rooftop bar would've sealed the deal for us wild teens.

I enjoyed dining with beautiful skyline views on my balcony. The hotel offers premium amenities and services. Perfect for both business and leisure travelers. A great location for exploring the city's attractions.
I wish my shower was just a shower and not a bathtub combo! .

Great bay views and a comfortable bed made for a lovely backdrop. the fridge froze my milk, and the rudest staff encountered added stress. Communication issues abound—no responses before arrival and limited info about amenities. Checkout confusion at 11 versus noon was frustrating. Parking was a nightmare, with tight spots and lengthy waits. The pool was chilly, and I witnessed a near-miss slip. With so much potential, the experience felt inconsistent, leaving me wanting more focus on guest satisfaction. Like a beautiful postcard with a couple of stains—stunning but flawed.

The hotel's location was excellent, especially for boarding a cruise, with the terminal just a short walk away. Having a balcony attached to the room was a nice touch. the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The bathroom amenities needed updating, with issues like low water flow from the shower head and difficulty adjusting the temperature. There were no complimentary water bottles available, and prices in the on-site store were exorbitant.

the bed was comfortable and the staff was great, making our experience enjoyable. We had a great time exploring the nearby mall, cinema, and dining options, all within walking distance. the location is also convenient, being just 15 minutes away from the airport.
Nothing that i didn't like 😊

So, we recently stayed at the Bayside hotel and wanted to share our experience with you. Let's start with the positives. The location of the hotel was fantastic, offering beautiful views of the bay and easy access to Little Italy for dining and nightlife. The room we had was quiet, comfortable, and had fluffy towels and comfy beds. The hotel staff were friendly and the free airport shuttle was a convenient bonus. Now, on to some areas that could use improvement. The ironing facilities in our room were a bit challenging to access as they were located behind the wardrobe in the bathroom, which was a bit odd. the carpet in front of the bathroom was wet in some areas, and we noticed water damage in the corner of the shower area, which wasn't ideal.

Our recent stay at this hotel by the San Diego cruise ship terminal was fantastic. The location couldn't be better for a family vacation. We were within walking distance of the Gaslamp Quarter, making exploring the city incredibly convenient.
My children wanted more kid-friendly amenities.

Great location, just a walk to Gas Lamp District, and close to the Marina and ships. Cute coffee shop across the street added charm to the area, and the view from the 1st tower was amazing during xmas.
Rude staff, from unhelpful front desk to delayed room readiness, my xmas experience was tarnished. Non-working outlets, missing chair on the balcony, and broken entry light affected the stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting the Maritime Museum of San Diego, and the customer service agents provided excellent assistance. The thoughtful in-room touches like free WiFi and inviting WynRest® Bedding collection were also impressive.
No microwaves in the room.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view from our high floor, balcony bay view room. Despite a chilly evening, we found the location to be ideal and the Claim Juniper restaurant on site offered exceptional service and food. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.

the room was fantastically clean, and the location was spectacular - close to little italy - uss midway & seaport village all walking distance. the local insights were great, and the staff was tremendously helpful. the availability of well-kept pool and close parking was a real plus.
Can't recommend highly enough.

Wow, what an incredible experience at this San Diego waterfront hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. From the friendly faces in the lobby to the helpful salespeople outside, their warmth and attentiveness were truly appreciated. The spacious and clean room, complete with a balcony, provided breathtaking views of the bay and the iconic Star of India. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore popular attractions like Little Italy, Gaslamp Quarter, and Seaport Village. We also loved the convenience of the nearby trains and trolley. The free Wi-Fi in public areas was a great bonus, and we enjoyed taking advantage of the fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return for another delightful getaway.
Our parking experience was less than ideal. The dimly lit parking area made us feel uneasy, especially when encountering a suspicious individual late at night.
Excellent
